The riverside venue many searches still call "Mercedes-Benz Arena" is one of Berlin's largest indoor arenas, hosting concerts, ice hockey (Eisbären Berlin), and basketball (Alba Berlin). Since 2023 it's officially named Uber Arena, with the surrounding square called Uber-Platz. Hotels right by the arena are often fully booked or priced higher on event nights.

Getting to the arena
Uber Arena / Mercedes-Benz Arena sits on the bank of the Spree near Ostbahnhof, in the same district as our apartment. From Seumestraße 8 it's approximately a 20–25 minute walk along the river, passing the East Side Gallery — a pleasant stroll on a mild evening. A faster option runs via Warschauer Straße station (about a 12-minute walk from the apartment, served by U1/U3 and S3/S5/S7/S9), with a short onward ride or walk to the arena. Check exact timing with a current transit app before travelling, since schedules can change.
